Ella Reichert is the Vice President of Finance for the Student Senate. She was  born and raised in the Olympia area and has been here for her whole life.

Ella is currently a Running Start Student at Capital High School. Following her graduation she will be transferring to a four-year university to achieve her career goals of becoming a Mohs Surgeon, which is a Surgical Dermatologist that removes moles, skin cancer, and the like. The choice is close to home since it is what saved her dad’s life. The goal is to have her own clinic where she can have different specialists in the Dermatology field so it is more convenient and accessible to those who need it.

Ella works at the Clipper Coffee Corner and the Food Pantry as all the other members of the Student Senate but is also making sure clubs are in good standing financially, getting budget approvals, meeting with the Committee to discuss budget and finance for SPSCC, finalizing budgets, S&A funding, and just created a presentation for the S&A budget during the Board of Trustees meeting.

Ella’s favorite part of the job is the people. Her favorite memory is going bowling with the Campus Activities Board and the Student Senate because it was so fun being able to bond with people she works with. During meetings she says that it’s chill and is more like a regular conversation than a serious business meeting, which she enjoys.

Ella is a very caring and smart individual who has a nice sense of humor, who is currently working on updating and writing more in depth legacy documents, such as tips and tricks for the job for the  incoming VP of Finance next year.
