The Banshee is a creature from Irish and Celtic Mythologies. A Banshee is considered a ghost, spirit, demon, and fairy. It is a supernatural being that takes various forms of a woman who will either sing, wail, scream, and shriek loud enough that it is able to break glass warning those who hear it about an incoming death in their family. The first ‘sightings’ of this creature start in 1380, and are mentioned in several pieces of literature. The interpretation of the Banshee changes based on the legend.

There are good and evil Banshees, good Banshees are peaceful creatures that watch over their loved ones, they also usually appear to be gorgeous women. The evil Banshees appear to be terrifying looking women that resent their family. The good and evil Banshees have different types of screams, where one is a peaceful harmony the other is a haunting scream.

Banshees do not have any notable weaknesses and have been common in media like; role playing video games, television shows, movies, books, and comics.

It is rumored that the Banshee hovers over Ireland and a magnetic field will pull the spirit to a house, near their window or somewhere close to the house, and scream, weep, or sing to warn of an impending death.
